OKLAHOMA CITY – (RealEstateRama) — Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency presented the 2016 Premier Award to First United Bank Mortgage, with headquarters in Durant, during its September Board of Trustees meeting.

First United Bank Mortgage partners with the OHFA Advantage Homebuyer Program to provide down payment assistance grants to Oklahomans with moderate incomes. With 18 locations statewide, First United Bank Mortgage represents nearly one-fourth of the lending production for the OHFA Advantage.

“OHFA selected First United Bank Mortgage to receive the first-ever Premier Award because it consistently leads other lenders in the number of loans closed,” said OHFA Single Family Programs Director Lee Ann Smith. “In the past 12 months, First United Bank Mortgage assisted 206 Oklahomans with mortgage loans totaling $26 million.

Through OHFA Advantage, OHFA partners with various mortgage lenders across the state to provide assistance to homebuyers in all 77 counties. Qualified homebuyers receive a 30-year fixed rate low-interest mortgage loan with a 3.5 percent or 5.0 percent down payment grant.

Individuals with a minimum credit score of 640 can purchase a home priced at $271,000 or less depending on their choice of mortgage product. To utilize the program, individuals do not have to be first-time homebuyers.

“We are honored to receive this recognition and value our partnership with OHFA,” said First United Bank Mortgage Market Director Darren Vittitow. “Community is one of the pillars of our stakeholder model, and we appreciate the opportunity to assist homebuyers who want to pursue the dream of owning a home.”

OHFA Advantage currently has participating lenders with 200 offices throughout the state. Lenders who meet specific guidelines can be added as a participating lender.
